The current managing partner, Santiago Torent, is handing over the reins to Miguel Lobón at CECA MAGÁN Abogados in Barcelona, as reported today by La Vanguardia.
A partner in the commercial law department, at 37 years of age he becomes the firm's youngest managing partner, leading a team of 32 professionals. He has specific training in economics and management from IESE, as well as a brilliant track record in negotiating highly complex corporate agreements, both nationally and internationally.
Lobón comments on his new role in managing the office: “I am convinced that there is still much to be done and that, with effort, dedication, and a well-defined strategy, we will not only achieve but exceed our proposed objectives.” Among his goals for 2025 are to strengthen the team, bring in new talent, expand practice areas, and reinforce the firm's presence in the Catalan business community.
Until now, Santiago Torent had held the position since September 2022, and he now takes on the challenge of further promoting growth and positioning CECA MAGÁN as a leading law firm in Barcelona. Over the past two years, Torent has successfully implemented an ambitious business plan, which has led to 205% growth in Barcelona in the 2023 and 2024 financial years. This office currently accounts for 15% of the firm's total business. Under his leadership, two partners and the Barcelona Labor Law department have been added to the prestigious international directory Chambers & Partners during this period.
